Holztiger Deer Stag

No plastic or vinyl toy can engage a child's senses like a wooden one can. The aroma, warmth, appearance and feel of wood give children a sense of connection to the natural world.

 

Holztiger wooden figures are made of hardwood with maple being the wood of choice. After the figures are cut and sanded, they are given a light wash of color which allows the natural grain of  wood to still show through. A clear lacquer is then applied to make the figures resistant to perspiration and saliva. All the paints, varnishes and wood stains used are water-based and free from harmful solvents. All Holztiger figures meet and exceed US and European safety standards for toys (EN 71/ASTM F963).
