The tangram is a dissection puzzle composed for 7 pieces known as tans. The objective of the puzzle is to reproduce a shape using all 7 tans without them overlapping. This set includes 2 tangrams (14 pieces in all) and a set of template cards. The tangrams come in a metal storage case, that also serves as your puzzle board. GRIMM'S uses mostly European alder, cherry, maple and lime wood and non-toxic waterbased stains to craft their toys and puzzles. Set of Tangrams Magnet Puzzle is crafted in Germany by GRIMM'S Spiel and Holz Design. Remarks about GRIMM'S colors: You may notice some paint transference on the blocks. This is not considered a defect as the blocks are unlacquered. GRIMM'S does not use lacquer in order to preserve the natural feel of the wood (which is in line with their aim to design toys according to principles of Waldorf and Montessori education).
