Additional Information: - you can purchase either stainless steel or polypropylene #5 (PP#5) caps for your Klean Kanteen. Polypropylene #5 has no known leaching characteristics
- the Klean Kanteen is not a thermos. It has little insulating properties. That is why it is not recommended that boiling hot liquids be poured into the Klean Kanteen
Origin: Klean Kanteens are designed in California. They are manufactured in China. Klean Kanteen visits their manufacturing facilities 4-5 times per year and perform audits every six months to ensure all of their products are produced with respect for the environment and fair labor standards. Additionally, they perform regular lab testing on random shipments through a local lab in the U.S. to ensure their products are made to their specifications and are free of hazardous substances.
