The 12 oz Classic Kanteen is designed for small hands, making it easy to hold. Give your child the Klean Kanteen and you won't have to worry about your child's bottle leaching chemicals. Klean Kanteens are BPA-free. The 12 oz is also a great size for adults too. Slip it into your purse or backpack - the capacity is approximately the same as that of a standard Canadian pop can. Price is for one 12 oz bottle with one PP#5 cap (there is an additional charge for stainless steel loop cap and stainless steel flat cap). Note: Klean Kanteen reviewed and tested dozens of different paints and selected an acrylic paint that contains no toxins or lead. They test the paint regularly and though it is safe, they recommend the Brushed Stainless finish bottles for small children who like to chew on things. Additional Information: - you can purchase either stainless steel or polypropylene (PP#5) caps for your Klean Kanteen. Polypropylene has no known leaching characteristics.
- the Klean Kanteen is not a thermos. It has little insulating properties. That is why it is not recommended that boiling hot liquids be poured into the Klean Kanteen.
Origin: Klean Kanteens are designed in California. They are manufactured in China. Klean Kanteen visits their manufacturing facilities 4-5 times per year and perform audits every six months to ensure all of their products are produced with respect for the environment and fair labor standards. Additionally, they perform regular lab testing on random shipments through a local lab in the U.S. to ensure their products are made to their specifications and are free of hazardous substances.
