The 12 oz Klean Kanteen is designed for small hands, making it easy to hold. Give your child the Klean Kanteen and you won't have to worry about your child's bottle leaching harmful chemicals. Klean Kanteens are BPA-free. The Klean Kanteen Sippy comes with a special adapter and an Avent™ sippy cup spout. The adapter and Avent™ sippy spout are made of PP#5 and are non-leaching and toxin-free. Note: Klean Kanteen reviewed and tested dozens of different paints and selected an acrylic paint that contains no toxins or lead. They test the paint regularly and though it is safe, they recommend the Brushed Stainless finish bottles for small children who like to chew on things. Additional Information: - you can purchase either stainless steel or polypropylene #5 (PP#5) caps for your Klean Kanteen. Polypropylene #5 has no known leaching characteristics.
- the Klean Kanteen is not a thermos. It has little insulating properties. That is why it is not recommended that boiling hot liquids be poured into the Klean Kanteen.

Klean Kanteen visits their manufacturing facilities 4-5 times per year and perform audits every six months to ensure all of their products are produced with respect for the environment and fair labor standards. Additionally, they perform regular lab testing on random shipments through a local lab in the U.S. to ensure their products are made to their specifications and are free of hazardous substances.
