Biography of Dr. Kimberley Dare
Dr. Kimberley Dare, ND, started her post-secondary education at the University of Victoria on Vancouver Island, Canada. Her first degree encompassed the study of plants as medicines in different cultures around the world, earning her a BSc in Ethnobotany and Biology. While completing her Bachelor of Science, she concurrently completed her pre-med requirements to gain acceptance to the Naturopathic medical program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto.
During her four years of medical training at CCNM, her education included Clinical Pharmacology, Laboratory Diagnosis, Allopathic physical and clinical diagnosis and treatment, Clinical Nutrition, Botanical Medicine, Chinese Botanical Medicine, Ayurvedic Botanical Medicine, Homeopathic Medicine, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. During her last two years of clinical training she built a strong family-based practice.
Dr. Dare now practices in a thriving multidisciplinary clinic. Her clinical practice includes treatment and prevention of environmental and food related sensitivities. She has consulted at rehabilitation facilities in Hamilton and Stoney Creek, as well as the Acquired Brain Injury Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital. Dr. Dare currently resides in Hamilton and is the mother of two preschoolers and a baby.
