Holztiger Knight on Horseback (Red)

Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship make a Holztiger figure a toy to be treasured. Solid maple, oak, birch or beech wood is cut into shapes and then a number of different steps are taken to smooth out the rough surfaces and edges. The figures are then primed and finish-sanded - a process which results in a particularly smooth and soft surface. Next, the figures are decorated by hand using kid-friendly waterbased stains and paints. A clear waterbased lacquer is then applied to make the figures resistant to damage from perspiration and saliva. Finally, the Holztiger logo is burnt in, and the toys are then sent to quality control before being released to playrooms around the world.
