Holztiger Penguin, Head Raised

Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship make a Holztiger figure a toy to be treasured. Solid hardwood is cut into shapes and then a number of steps are taken to smooth out the rough surfaces and edges. The figures are then primed and finish-sanded - a process which results in a particularly smooth and soft surface. Next, the figures are decorated by hand using non-toxic water-based stains and paints. A clear water-based topcoat is then applied to make the figures resistant to damage from perspiration and saliva. Finally, the Holztiger logo is burnt in, and the toys are then sent to quality control before being released to playrooms around the world.
