Holztiger Standing Dark Brown Foal

Holztiger figures are handmade using solid hardwood - most often maple. Maple is hard, durable, and has a beautiful grain. Depending on requirements, oak, beech or birch may also be used. The figures are colored with non-toxic water-based paints. To make the figures resistant to perspiration and saliva, each toy is subsequently painted with a clear water lacquer.  Holztiger figures conform with the European and US safety directives for toys. The paints and varnishes are also subject to constant quality controls by German supervisory authorities.
