Natursutten Orthodontic Baby Pacifier Butterfly is made of all-natural rubber from the tree Hevea brasiliensi. Natursutten soothers are free of BPA, PVC, parabens, silicone, phthalates and artificial color. The protein which on rare occasions can provoke a latex allergy is eliminated during production. With that said, we would never recommend using a product made from natural rubber for a child with a diagnosed latex allergy. Natursutten pacifiers are extremely hygienic because they are molded in one piece. This means there are no joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can accumulate. This soother complies with the quality, safety and environmental requirements for infant pacifiers set by EN1400, a European norm. It also complies to US, Japanese, Australian and Korean safety standards. Natursutten pacifiers are continuously tested by ForbrugerLaboratoriet, the independent, distinguished laboratory in Denmark. Natursutten pacifiers are now available with a butterfly-shaped shield to allow room for your baby's nose. Made in Italy. *Please note that for hygiene reasons, pacifiers cannot be returned. Care: - Before first use, sterilize the pacifier by immersing it in boiling water for 5 minutes. If you use a sterilizer, sterilize for ten minutes.
- Clean after each use with warm water and mild liquid soap, or sterilize it by pouring boiling water over it.

Store the pacifiers in a clean container away from sunlight or heat. Do not expose them to excessive heat or direct sunlight for an extended period of time. -
The color of the pacifier will become darker over time. This is perfectly natural and to be expected as Natursutten soothers are made of 100% natural rubber, with no chemicals or anti-oxidants to keep it light yellow. Natursutten pacifiers should be replaced every 6 – 8 weeks. Inspect the soother regularly, and discard if you see any damage. Round or Orthodontic? There is debate among experts whether the round or orthodontic nipple shapes are best in reducing nipple confusion in breastfeeding babies. Sometimes the rounded shape works better for breastfed babies, because the tongue is positioned under the nipple as it is during breastfeeding. Most babies have a habit of moving the pacifiers around in their mouths which is why many midwives advise to start them on the rounded pacifier. Orthodontic pacifiers are designed to support the shape of babies’ developing palates and jaws. Studies suggest children who use orthodontic pacifiers have a smaller chance of developing certain malocclusions of the teeth. With all that being said, babies can have quite strong preferences for a particular nipple shape, so it may be wise to have both nipple types on hand to try out!
