GRIMM'S Geo-Graphic Building Set consists of 4 wooden bases, each with 25 cubes. The cubes in the different bases are of different color schemes. All blocks have a print on one side. GRIMM'S uses mainly alder, maple, lime and cherry wood to craft their toys. Each wooden block is cut and sanded by hand, so there are no sharp edges or corners. The waterbased dyes used to decorate the blocks meet EN-71 (European) safety standards as well as the new CPSIA (USA) requirements. Geo-Graphic Building Set is crafted in Germany by GRIMM'S Spiel und Holz. Remarks about GRIMM'S colors: You may notice some paint transference on the blocks. This is not considered a defect as the blocks are unlacquered. GRIMM'S does not use lacquer in order to preserve the natural feel of the wood (which is in line with their aim to design toys according to principles of Waldorf and Montessori education). Unlacquered blocks are also less likely to slip off when being used to construct. Age: 2 years + Dimensions: 1 frame - 22.5 x 22.5 cm (8.9 x 8.9 in.)
