GRIMM`S Four Elements Building Blocks Set (Large)

This stunning block set is composed of puzzles representing the four elements: waves (water), flames (fire), cave (stone/earth) and rainbow (air). The variety of organic shapes will inspire children to create works of fantasy. The forms can also be used for pretend play (e.g. combined with vehicles and dolls).  

 

Each wooden block is cut and sanded by hand, so there are no sharp edges or corners. The blocks are decorated using safe waterbased dyes and a natural oil finish. This set includes 23 solid wood blocks and a wooden base. The Four Elements Building Blocks Set (Large) is crafted in Germany by GRIMM'S Spiel and Holz Design.

 

Note about GRIMM'S colors: You may notice some paint transference on the blocks. This is not considered a defect as the blocks are unlacquered. GRIMM'S does not use lacquer in order to preserve the natural feel of the wood (which is in line with their aim to integrate aspects of Waldorf and Montessori education into their toymaking). Unlacquered blocks are easier to stack and build with as they have slightly rougher surfaces.
